Early Seabrook Shipyard

Early cattle drives in the Clear Creek area.  Before the ship channel was constructed cattle were driven across Galveston Bay on a then existing shell-sand bar (Red Fish Bar) from Smith Point to Eagle Point. The last known drive was in 1894 by T. J. Dick of the Buckhorn Ranch on Clear Lake near Kemah.
